Packaging and Selling Microsoft Word Add-In

Hello, I am in the process of creating an microsoft word add-in. I need to
find out what is the best way to package and sell the add-in online.

That ability is already available in Word. I cannot see why anyone would
want to pay for it.

Since when? Images coming from databases can't be inserted
into the main merge document (I assume that's what this is
about) - it requires a fairly complex work-around, which
this add-in is may be trying to alleviate...

Word for free. Not particularly difficult and not something for which I
would be prepared to pay money.

You may not be able to get much advice in this group, as it tends towards VBA
-oriented solutions. I assume you have a COM add-in, not a template add-in? Is
it a VSTO add-in or a IDT2Extensibility add-in?

As far as the mechanics of distributing/deploying a downloaded add-in go, you
should ask in a group for the type of add-in. For a VSTO add-in, this would be
the VSTO forum

About the marketing and on-line part you may need to find discussion groups
that are less technically-oriented than those hosted by Microsoft (which are
specifically for supporting using the products).
